Relaunch of Crystal Cruises

Crystal Serenity & Symphony wayfinding signage projects delivered back to back in collaboration with Tillberg Design of Sweden

Eighteen months ago, the Crystal company’s Chinese owners went bust. Their ships were impounded in the Bahamas over unpaid bills and U.S. offices shut down.

Many believed that was the end of Crystal, until Abercrombie & Kent pulled its name and ships back from the brink.

We are very proud to be able to have been a part of the transformation team relaunching this two great vessels and we look forward to continuing to support Crystal Cruises in the future through other signage enrichment, innovation and deployment programmes.

Crystal's new wayfinding signage was created by Tillberg Design then manufactured and installed by our own highly skilled workforce in both Trieste and during sea trials.

Alongside our existing partnerships and nominated manufacturer status for several fashion, retail, petrol and quick service restaurant brands, we at NIS signs are pleased to be able to offer our holistic services to cruise companies and shipyards alike.

This project was managed by Alastair Mellor and Andrew Hooton, under the guidance of our Director Justin Earith. Whilst cruise projects were a new challenge to Alastair, Andy & Justin have over 40 years combined expertise in cruise ship projects between them. Both Justin and Andy will already be familiar names to many within the new build and refurbishment teams leading cruise lines, architects and designers.

We believe our specialist experience coupled with class leading in-house prototyping and manufacturing facilities will enable us to add value to many other cruise projects in the future.
